Speaking in an interview for the Banja Luka-based "Nezavisne novine" daily of Sunday, Tomljenovic said that the 1995 Dayton peace agreement contained the germ of the notion of the two entities representing only a phase in the organisation of the country.
Tomljenovic believes that the international community wants Bosnia-Herzegovina to move from its Dayton phase into the "Brussels phase", which he says means abolishing the entities or restricting their powers.
"The European Union does not need expensive and impractical administration systems... the entities must be replaced with regions adjusted to EU standards," Tomljenovic stressed.
