Speaking of Slovene-Croatian relations, Jansa recalled that the agreement among the parties in his ruling coalition stated there should be no illusions that outstanding issues would be closed overnight. He added a process was under way whereby the settlement of some outstanding issues was possible.
"We are working in that direction. The closer Croatia gets to the European Union the bigger the manoeuvring space for the settlement of outstanding issues."
Asked if relations with Italy had worsened following the recent marking of remembrance day for Italian WW2 refugees, and if relations with Austria had been undermined due to statements that Slovenia was not the successor to the Austrian State Agreement, Jansa said relations were no worse than before those discussions and that there was no reason to panic.
