Cimoszewicz commended Croatia's policy towards its ethnic minorities. He said European integration broadened the possibilities of cooperation among countries and strengthened the role of parliamentary diplomacy.
The two officials spoke about the friendly relations between the two countries and the two peoples. Arlovic, who leads the Croatian-Polish Friendship Group, highlighted the significance of the Polish minority in Croatian culture.
Arlovic said Croatia wanted good relations with all its neighbours and saw their future in the European Union. He added that a stable peace in Bosnia-Herzegovina could be achieved in the country only if its three constituent peoples remained equal, and if human rights and the plurality of cultures, languages and faiths were respected.
The Polish official also held talks with members of the parliamentary committees on foreign affairs and European integration.
During his visit, Cimoszewicz also met President Stjepan Mesic and Parliament Speaker Vladimir Seks.
