Pack's visit is aimed at establishing whether ethnically-motivated incidents still existed in that northern Serbian province and what measures were the authorities taking e to prevent those incidents.
"Our duty is to establish what is going on here, we came to see whether this is something that can be stopped or whether this is a general climate in Serbia. If this is the general climate, then this is very dangerous for Serbia," Pack said told reporters.
She said that one of the solutions to how to stop inter-ethnic incidents was the inclusion of members of national minorities into the police forces.
During her stay in Subotica Pack spoke to the victims of last year incidents, the leader of the Croat and Hungarian communities, representatives of their join bodies and representatives of Churches active in Vojvodina.
Doris Pack is also scheduled to visit Novi Sad and Belgrade. She will hold talks with Serbian President Boris Tadic and Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica.
