Sanader is travelling to Davos, Switzerland, tomorrow to attend the World Economic Forum. The postponed meeting will give the parties time for additional consultations on the names of persons who will comprise the team negotiating Croatia's admission to the European Union.
Sanader and the parties' leaders are also expected to discuss the names of persons to be appointed to the national committee which will supervise the EU entry negotiations.
Although the name of the committee chairman is not official yet, the media speculate it might be Social Democratic Party leader Ivica Racan or the chairman of the parliamentary European integration committee, Neven Mimica. also of the SDP.
The national committee will comprise 19 members, including six from the ruling party, six from the opposition, the chiefs of the parliamentary committees on European integration, foreign affairs and inter-parliamentary cooperation, from the President's Office, trade unions, employers and the academic community.
