Exhibition of works by two Iranian artists staged in Zagreb

ZAGREB, Jan 20 (Hina) - An exhibition of works by two contemporary Iranian artists -- painter Habibollah Ayatollahi-Habib and sculptor Mahin Nourmah -- was opened at the Mimara Museum in Zagreb on Thursday evening.

The exhibition is part of a series of events organised within the exhibition called "7,000 Years of Persian Art" which will close on 31 January at the Mimara Museum.

Habibollah A. - Habib is presenting 25 paintings inspired by motives from playing cards. He has displayed his works at more than 50 individual exhibitions and some 100 group exhibitions in Iran and abroad. He is a professor of art history at the Art Academy in Tehran.

Mahin Nourmah is presenting her 25 sculptures, wall compositions and installations. Nourmah has a BA degree in visual arts from the Fine Arts Faculty of Tehran University and an MA degree from Sorbonne University.

Since 1972 she has had 15 individual exhibitions and more than 30 group exhibitions in Iran. In 2000 she staged an exhibition in Paris.
