In Sunday's run-off, the number of voters in Vojvodina was twice higher than in the first round fifteen days ago.
"This election result was expected and we congratulate Mesic on that. We, however, hold that Jadranka Kosor was also a good candidate as she also supports a policy aimed at Croatia's integration in Europe," Petar Kuntic, the president of the Democratic Alliance of Vojvodina Croats (DSHV), told Hina on Monday.
Kuntic said that DSHV officials as political representatives of Serbian Croats would like to meet for talks with Mesic during his second five-year term in office.
In the 2003 parliamentary polls for the Sabor, DSHV representatives were nominated at rosters of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) for the constituency covering the Croatian diaspora.
Croatian general consul in Subotica, Davor Vidis, said that in yesterday's second round yesterday, 687 voters went to the polls in Subotica, Sombor and Novi Sad, which was twice the figure in the first round on 2 January.
According to unofficial reports, a large majority of voters at those polling stations voted for Mesic.
There were no incidents or irregularities at the polling stations opened in Vojvodina for Croatia's presidential elections, Vidis said.
