ZAGREB, Jan 4 (Hina) - The Central State Administration Office on
Tuesday refuted accusations made by the nongovernmental election monitoring
organisation GONG about voter lists not having been updated, which was why,
GONG said, some citizens could not exercise their right to vote at Sunday's
presidential elections.According to a press release issued by the Office today, neither the
State Election Commission (DIP) nor citizens have made any complaints about
voter lists.
Voter lists are arranged in compliance with the law on voter lists and
the Central State Administration Office is in charge of supervising the
enforcement of that law, read the press release.
GONG today urged the Central State Administration Office to set a time
frame for the verification of voter lists and explain the voting procedure for
those who will vote outside their places of residence in the election runoff on
January 16.
