ZAGREB, Jan 4 (Hina) - The presidency of the Croatian Party of Rights
(HSP) on Tuesday called on its members and supporters to go to the polls in
the second round of presidential elections on January 16 and vote according to
their political orientation and support the candidate whose statements
correspond with the HSP's platform.Addressing reporters during a break in a session of the party
presidency, HSP leader Anto Djapic said the party was dissatisfied with the
election result of independent candidate Slaven Letica, whose candidacy it had
supported.
The party believes that Letica's poor result is the consequence of his
decision to run in the elections as an independent candidate, he said.
Asked whether they would continue cooperating with Letica in the
parliament, Djapic said that the HSP remained open to cooperation with Letica,
which he said had been very good so far.
