A spokeswoman for the Public Prosecutor's Office in the Tuzla Canton, Jasna Subotic, said that 115 complete skeletons and partial remains of 162 bodies had been dug out of the mass grave near the village of Gorice.
Forensic experts will fill in the mass grave, after which the process of identification will begin.
The head of the Tuzla department of the Missing Persons Commission, Murat Hurtic, said earlier that it was quite certain that the mass grave contained the bodies of local Bosniaks and Croats killed at the very start of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1992.
Forensic experts found documents and other evidence indicating that the victims had been killed after being taken prisoner.
The Gorice mass grave is the largest mass grave found to date in the Brcko area.
