"The Ecumentic Film Prize" went to the Croatian film " Tressette - A story of an Island" produced by the national broadcasting corporation (HRT). According to the jury's explanation, "with artistic images, a strong cast and subtle humour, the director tells the cinematic parable of a community of islanders and their committed fight against extinction. The card game Tressette, which gives the film its title, serves as a symbol of hope."
The Main Award of Mannheim-Heidelberg went to the Belgian film "The Only One" by Geoffrey Enthoven.
