Szili says Hungary supports Croatia's joining EU

SUZA, Nov 8 (Hina) - Hungarian Parliament Speaker Katalin Szili said on Wednesday after talks with her Croatian counterpart Vladimir Seks that Hungary strongly supported Croatia's joining the European Union ad that it advocated that Croatia's issue be solved individually.
SUZA, Nov 8 (Hina) - Hungarian Parliament Speaker Katalin Szili said on Wednesday after talks with her Croatian counterpart Vladimir Seks that Hungary strongly supported Croatia's joining the European Union ad that it advocated that Croatia's issue be solved individually.

At the meeting in the eastern Croatian villages of Suza, held without the presence of the press, Szili and Seks said their talks were held as part of regular annual meetings. The two officials discussed bilateral relations, cooperation in the mutual protection of minorities, economic and cultural connections of Croatian and Hungarian regions and the building of Corridors Vb and Vc. They also talked about Hungary's experience concerning the European Union.

Seks and Szili underlined as important an agreement on strategic parliamentarian partnership, expected to be signed next spring.

Szili stressed that the Hungarian town of Pecs would be the European capital of culture in 2010.
