Independent member of Parliament Branimir Glavas, who was remanded in custody on suspicion of war crimes, went on a hunger strike on immediately upon his arrival in Remetinec prison in Zagreb on October 31.
The Zagreb County Court is running an investigation into Glavas's alleged role in war crimes committed against Serb civilians in the eastern city of Osijek in the early 1990s.
