PRISTINA, Nov 10 (Hina) - Kosovo's negotiating team, led by President Fatmir Sejdiu on Friday issued a declaration expressing deep regret at the decision of UN chief negotiator on Kosovo's status, Martti Ahtisaari, to postpone the
solving of the status of this UN-govern province until after the parliamentary elections in Serbia, scheduled for 21 January 2007.
PRISTINA, Nov 10 (Hina) - Kosovo's negotiating team, led by
President Fatmir Sejdiu on Friday issued a declaration expressing deep regret
at the decision of UN chief negotiator on Kosovo's status, Martti Ahtisaari, to
postpone the solving of the status of this UN-govern province until after the
parliamentary elections in Serbia, scheduled for 21 January 2007.
After an extraordinary meeting of the negotiating team, Sejdiu said that a
quick solution of Kosovo's status was in the general interest of Kosovo
citizens, the region and the international community and that the process of
defining the status, led by Ahtisaari and the Contact Group, would lead to the
creation of an independent and sovereign state of Kosovo in accordance with the
full political will of Kosovo people.
The meeting of Kosovo's negotiating team was also attended by the head
of the US office in Pristina, Tina Kaidanow.
