Committee deputy chairman General Thomas Baptista told the press at Pristina airport that NATO respected the international community's positions on the settlement of Kosovo's status.
He said NATO wished that a solution be found by the end of 2006 in line with the Contact Group's deadlines.
The commander of the NATO-led Kosovo Force, General Roland Kather, said KFOR would not tolerate any violence in Kosovo and that it would preserve a peaceful and safe environment.
The NATO Military Committee delegation also held talks with the UN civil administrator in the province, Joachim Ruecker, and toured all the major KFOR bases.
