ZAGREB, Nov 9 (Hina) - The trial of Serb Radical leader Vojislav Seselj, charged with war crimes in eastern Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Vojvodina, is scheduled for 27 November, the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia reported on Thursday.

The Trial Chamber decided on Wednesday to reduce the scope of the indictment against Seselj, including parts of the indictment charging him with war crimes in western Slavonia and several towns in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The trial Chamber in September called on the Prosecutor's Office to reduce the scope of the indictment by one third and the prosecution finally accepted the proposal after opposing it at the beginning.

Originally, the trial against Seselj was scheduled for 2 November, but it has been delayed because the ICTY Appeals Chamber changed the decision to appoint an attorney for Seselj and allowed him to defend himself.

Seselj has been in ICTY custody since 24 February 2004 when he voluntarily surrendered.
