ZAGREB, Aug 14 (Hina) - The Croatian government must invest more efforts on the international front, present proposals and show readiness to help because Croatia has experience with suffering, doing humanitarian work and advocating peace, the Democratic Centre party said in a statement on Monday, commenting on a number of civilian victims in Lebanon.
ZAGREB, Aug 14 (Hina) - The Croatian government must invest more efforts on the international front, present proposals and show readiness to help because Croatia has experience with suffering, doing humanitarian work and advocating peace, the Democratic Centre party said in a statement on Monday, commenting on a number of civilian victims in Lebanon.

"Based on our experience, we believe that an international Red Cross conference should be called to establish the situation, help the victims and social and civil reconstruction of Lebanon," the statement said.

The conference would propose an international programme for the reconstruction of Lebanon - content, deadlines, programme implementation, and financial obligations, the party said.
