The event, that will pool representatives of Australia, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Japan, South Africa, Latvia. Lithuania, Ukraine, Sweden, the United States and other countries, will focus on security issues with a strong emphasis on the process of integration with the European Union.
The summit will be hosted by Croatian President Stjepan Mesic, Prime Minister Ivo Sanader and Parliament Speaker Vladimir Seks.
It is expected to be attended by Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha, Romanian PM Calin Popescu-Tariceanu, Georgian President Mihail Saakasvhili, Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic, NATO civil representative in Afghanistan Hikmet Cetin, NATO Assistant Secretary General John Colston, several parliament speakers, deputy foreign ministers and heads of several international organisations.
