BRIJUNI, June 9 (Hina) - The joint candidacy file of the Croatian and Hungarian Soccer Associations to organise the 2012 European soccer tournament was successfully presented on Friday to Croatian President Stjepan Mesic and ambassadors accredited to Croatia who annually visit the Brijuni isles in June.
BRIJUNI, June 9 (Hina) - The joint candidacy file of the Croatian and Hungarian Soccer Associations to organise the 2012 European soccer tournament was successfully presented on Friday to Croatian President Stjepan Mesic and ambassadors accredited to Croatia who annually visit the Brijuni isles in June.

Mesic said Croatia would not have stood a chance alone but with Hungary the chances were far greater because "at that time Croatia will be a new member of associated Europe".

Croatia and Hungary are bidding to host Euro 2012 against Italy and a joint candidacy of Poland and Ukraine. The decision will be made at a UEFA Executive Committee session in Nyon on December 8.
