PARIS/ZAGREB, May 24 (Hina) - After receiving the Laureus Sportswoman of the Year Award in Barcelona this week, Croatian skier Janica Kostelic on Wednesday received the "Le Prix Monique Berlioux" award of the French Sports
Academy.
PARIS/ZAGREB, May 24 (Hina) - After receiving the Laureus
Sportswoman of the Year Award in Barcelona this week, Croatian skier Janica
Kostelic on Wednesday received the "Le Prix Monique Berlioux" award of the
French Sports Academy. Monique Berlioux, a former executive director
of the International Olympic Committee who has been presiding over the French
Sports Academy for the last two months, presented Kostelic with the award at a
ceremony in Paris.
The French Sports Academy is one of the most renowned institutions in
the world. It was founded in 1905 and in 1991 started presenting athletes with
annual sports awards.
