PRAGUE, June 8 (Hina) - Ekoloski Inzenjering, an environmental protection company based in Nova Vas near the northern Adriatic town of Porec, is the first Croatian firm to win the Lynx award given by EUREKA, a pan-European network
promoting market-oriented research and development.
PRAGUE, June 8 (Hina) - Ekoloski Inzenjering, an environmental
protection company based in Nova Vas near the northern Adriatic town of Porec,
is the first Croatian firm to win the Lynx award given by EUREKA, a
pan-European network promoting market-oriented research and development. The award was presented to the company's director, Vice Soljan, at a
ceremony in Prague on Thursday ahead of EUREKA's ministerial conference.
The award is given to companies that achieve a substantial increase in
the sale of their products as a result of participation in a EUREKA project.
The Croatian company was awarded for developing a special waste water
purification technology using granulated bacteria.
EUREKA currently has 35 members, including Croatia, which joined in
June 2000.
