In 2010, the German government has approved an additional EUR 200,000 for clearance of mines from mine-suspected areas in Croatia.
Since the establishment of the HCR centre in Sisak 12 years ago, Germany has been offering financial assistance for the centre's activities.
Apart from this year's funds, Germany has so far donated EUR 7.825 million for the clearance of mines from a ground 5.5 square kilometres large.
The memorandum was signed by the HCR deputy director Marko Ivanusic and the head of the ASB southeastern Europe office in Croatia, Wolfgang Raschk.
In attendance at today's ceremony in Sisak were German Ambassador to Croatia Bernd Fischer and military envoy Colonel Ralf Horst Mayer.
