SARAJEVO, Jan 24 (Hina) - The lower house of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina on Tuesday dismissed the proposal of the Federation's Government that 67 percent of the stock capital of Bosnia's oil company Energopetrol be sold to the Croatian-Hungarian oil consortium INA-MOL.

The Prime Minister of the Croat-Muslim entity, Ahmed Hadzipasic, said that the lower's house's attitude did not mean the cancellation of talks with the Croatian-Hungarian oil consortium, adding that it only meant that deputies in the federation's parliament did not agree with the government's concept for the injection of fresh capital into the Energo petrol company.

Hadzipasic said he was ready to sign the deal with INA-MOL if the Croatian-Hungarian consortium agreed to take over Energopetrol's debt amounting to 19 million convertible marks (approx. EUR9.5 million).

He said that INA-MOL was expected to give its final answer by 27 January. Hadzipasic added that the bankruptcy procedure of the Bosnian oil company would be launched at the end of February. A total of 1019 workers will be laid off unless INA-MOL accept additional debts of Energopetrol.
