The Office of the Prosecutor is strongly opposed to it and expects the Trial Chamber not to grant that motion, del Ponte said in Brussels after talks with EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn, NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer and the EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, Javier Solana.
Del Ponte noted that Milosevic had very good doctors in The Hague.
The prosecutor said she needed the European Union's help to ensure that the remaining fugitives were brought to The Hague, adding that this had proved effective in the case of Croatia, which she said was now fully cooperating with the tribunal.
Rehn said that Serbia's failure to cooperate with the tribunal would certainly have serious consequences for the talks between Serbia and Montenegro and the European Union on a Stabilisation and Association Agreement.
