National Council in Serbia and Montenegro,Josip Pekanovic, said on Thursday.
SUBOTICA, Dec 29 (Hina) - Since last week, the Croat national
minority has been able to display its national symbols during national and
state holidays and events organised by the Croat community in Serbia, the
president of the Croat National Council in Serbia and Montenegro, Josip
Pekanovic, said on Thursday. The decision was adopted at a session
of the Council for National Minorities in Serbia in Belgrade late last week.
"The decision has a great symbolic meaning for members of this
community because it is yet another confirmation that this national minority is
recognised," Pekanovic said in show in Croatian on Radio Subotica.
At the same session, also approved were symbols of the Hungarian and
Bosniak national minorities, as well as the symbols of the Bunjevci National
Council, which denies its Croatia origins
