The programme was signed in Zagreb by Vahid Ahmadi, the director-general for cultural cooperation at the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Bozo Biskupic, the Croatian minister of culture.
Ahmadi highlighted the importance of cultural cooperation as the foundation of economic and political relations between the two countries, noting that cultural cooperation between Iran and Croatia had increased over the past few years.
Biskupic said that the exhibition "7,000 Years of Persian Art" in Zagreb's Mimara Museum in 2004, which featured exhibits from the Iranian National Museum in Tehran, marked the peak of cultural cooperation between the two countries.
