ZAGREB, July 24 (Hina) - The Croatian Defence Ministry on Tuesday dismissed media headlines according to which the decision on the suppliers of new combat armoured vehicles had already been made, stressing that the commission which is
expected to chose the new supplier between the Patria company from Finland and Pandur II from Austria, was scheduled to meet next week.
ZAGREB, July 24 (Hina) - The Croatian Defence Ministry on Tuesday
dismissed media headlines according to which the decision on the suppliers of
new combat armoured vehicles had already been made, stressing that the
commission which is expected to chose the new supplier between the Patria
company from Finland and Pandur II from Austria, was scheduled to meet next
week. Some media cited unofficial sources as saying the Patria had
already been selected to equip the Croatian Armed Forces with the new vehicles,
saying that the vehicle of the Finnish company were better at test drives than
those of the Austrian company.
The commission is scheduled to meet next week, the Defence Ministry
said.
