proscribed by the law on the financing of political parties, independent slates and candidates, the Democratic Centre (DC) said on Thursday that it had published the 2006 financial report on its web site a month ago.
ZAGREB, June 27 (Hina) - Commenting on the claims by the
election-monitoring nongovernmental organisation known by its acronym GONG that
some parliamentary parties had not published their annual financial reports on
their websites, as proscribed by the law on the financing of political
parties, independent slates and candidates, the Democratic Centre (DC) said on
Thursday that it had published the 2006 financial report on its web site a
month ago. We support the work of GONG, but we had to dismiss as
incorrect the information relating to our party, the DC said.
Underlining that it is aware of the importance of publishing financial
reports, the DC said that it is one of the few parties in Croatia advocating a
transparent way of financing political parties.
