MOSTAR, June 7 (Hina) - The current two-entity structure of
Bosnia-Herzegovina is a source of frustration for the country's Croat community
and constitutional changes are necessary to guarantee its equality in relation
to the other two peoples, which is not the case at present, the Croat member
of Bosnia's collective presidency, Zeljko Komsic, told the state television
network on Thursday. Komsic made the statement a week ahead of his
meeting with leaders of Bosnian Croat parties, church dignitaries and prominent
Croat intellectuals.
The meeting is expected to focus on the need for Croat structures in
the country to adopt a joint position for future talks on constitutional
changes in the country.
Quoting international officials, the local media said that next week
High Representative Christian Schwarz-Schilling could present draft
constitutional changes that could serve as a basis for negotiations between
political representatives of Bosnia's three constituent peoples on changing the
country's constitution.
