ZAGREB, June 1 (Hina) - The Croatian parliament on Friday adopted a new Law on Firearms which sets stricter criteria for possession and use of firearms.

Deputies amended the Law on Humanitarian Mine Removal and the Law on Stimulating the Development of Small Enterprises.

MPs also ratified a convention on the rights of disabled people. The state plans to allocate 62.5 million kuna for the implementation of the convention, while additional 417,000 kuna for the adjustment of the statistics system would come from loans.

At today's session, parliament declared April 28 the National Day for Safety at Work.

In accordance with its practice not to strip a deputy of parliamentary immunity following a slender suit, parliament adopted a decision of the Credentials and Privileges Commission that Jozo Rados and Zlatko Kramaric of the Social Liberals do not be stripped of immunity. Both deputies are facing slender charges.

Deputies also supported a bill on providing tourism services, stressing the new law would improve Croatia's tourism offer and tourist services.

Ending today's sitting, Speaker Vladimir Seks said that the last session before the summer recess would most probably start on 13 June. The 26th session is expected to last until 13 July.
