Town and Country Planning Minister Marina Matulovic Dropulic dismissed the criticism by some Opposition deputies who said that the new town and country planning law would impose additional expenses to local self-government units.
The minister said that this year's budget included funds for state administration employees' salaries who will be in charge of planning projects for towns with the population of 35,000 and up.
At the end of this week's session, parliament adopted a number of reports the work of institutions last year. At the request of the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) deputies only took note of a report on the work of the ombudswoman for gender equality.
The majority of MPs endorsed a report of the children's ombudswoman, the Croatian Telecommunication Agency and the National Foundation for the Development of Civil Society.
Parliament will resume its session next week.
