Seks is taking part in a conference of the parliament presidents of EU member and candidate countries, that is being held in Slovakia's capital.
Croatia is convinced that the EU will find answers to all questions it is faced with, Seks said, adding that the efforts that Germany and all other presidencies of the EU have invested in the solving of institutional issues confirmed his belief.
"The process of EU institutional reforms is exceptionally important for Croatia because this process, as well as the process of Croatia's joining the EU, are overlapping and have the same target year for the completion - 2009," he added.
The Croatian parliament speaker spoke as part of a discussion on Europe's future, the first of the five topics of the two-day conference's agenda. He stressed that as a representative of Croatia he was looking at the enlargement issue from a specific position of his country.
This process cannot be competed without securing European prospects to all countries including those that were currently outside the mainstream of EU enlargement, he said.
Seks stressed that Croatia was ready to assume its share of responsibilities and invest maximum efforts to complete the launched reforms and meet membership criteria.
He advocated the adoption of institutional solution which would increase the role of national parliaments in the decision-making process.
