The two-day conference will focus on the future of Europe, interparliamentary cooperation, raising national European awareness, assistance to parliaments in transition countries, and Ukraine as the European Union's eastern neighbour.
The speaker of the Croatian Parliament is due to participate in debates on the future of Europe and the raising of national European awareness.
Seks is also expected to meet representatives of the Croatian minority in Slovakia and have several bilateral meetings.
The conference of EU parliament speakers is the highest institutional form of interparliamentary cooperation within the European Union. Slovakia assumed its chairmanship in July 2006.
