Croatia is an attractive partner to Norway. Trade is growing, and the number of Norwegian tourists travelling to Croatia every year has risen to 70,000, Store told reporters after the meeting.
I have informed the minister about three pillars of Croatian policy: progress towards membership of the European Union and NATO and cooperation in the region. I have received assurances that Norway supports Croatia's aspirations to join the EU, and in particular the North Atlantic Alliance, Seks said at the end of his three-day visit.
Also discussed were economic aspects of Croatia's path to the EU, with Seks saying that macroeconomic indicators in Croatia supported the country's chances of joining the bloc.
Store said that Norway wanted a stable and rich Croatia in Southeast Europe, adding that the region was now moving towards stability.
We are looking forward to a day when Croatia becomes our partner in NATO. We will also closely cooperate in the economy, culture and foreign affairs, the Norwegian foreign minister said.
