WASHINGTON, May 25 (Hina) - A member of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Haris Silajdzic said on Thursday that no agreement was reached at talks with Bosnian Serb Prime Minister Milorad Dodik about constitutional reforms and police reform, that are being held in the US State Department.

"Because of the implementation of the Dayton Accord Bosnia, as a country, is mostly blocked because of the system which gives the right to one fifth of the parliament to block everything in the country," Silajdzic said.

The blocking of the political and economic system is Bosnia is the result of the ethnic approach in the Dayton Accord. He however, stressed that the Dayton Agreement successfully ended the war in 1995, adding that under the same circumstances he would again sign the document..

The United States requested of the two Bosnian officials to reach a compromise agreement about the key issues of constitutional reforms and the introduction of a unified police system, that has been a point of dispute in Bosnia for the past several months.

The State Department on Thursday expressed disappointment with the fact that Silajdzic and Dodik failed to reach an agreement, stressing that this would prevent Bosnia's further approaching Euro-Atlantic associations.
