RIJEKA, April 28 (Hina) - Social Democratic Party member of Parliament Ljubo Jurcic presented the SDP's economic policy at a meeting of the party's branch in the northern Adriatic city of Rijeka on Saturday, saying that its purpose was to increase domestic production as a prerequisite for raising the standard of living.
RIJEKA, April 28 (Hina) - Social Democratic Party member of Parliament Ljubo Jurcic presented the SDP's economic policy at a meeting of the party's branch in the northern Adriatic city of Rijeka on Saturday, saying that its purpose was to increase domestic production as a prerequisite for raising the standard of living.

Jurcic said that the SDP would aim to increase the production growth rate from the present four per cent to eight per cent by through coordination of all branches of the economy, optimum use of all resources, and regional, fiscal and financial policy.

Jurcic identified limitations in implementing such policy as being the household debt, which exceeds 100 billion kuna, low investment efficiency compared to other transition countries, and corruption.
