OSIJEK, April 19 (Hina) - Representatives of the Croatian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, the Hrvatske Vode water management company and the World Bank signed in Osijek on Thursday the record of negotiations on
the conditions of a EUR 100 million loan to finance an inland waterways management project.
OSIJEK, April 19 (Hina) - Representatives of the Croatian Ministry
of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, the Hrvatske Vode water
management company and the World Bank signed in Osijek on Thursday the record
of negotiations on the conditions of a EUR 100 million loan to finance an
inland waterways management project. The loan, expected to be
approved by the World Bank Board of Directors at the end of May, would finance
the expanding of the drainage system in the Virovitica area, improvement of
water supply in northern Baranja, construction of waste-water purification
facilities in Ogulin and expanding of the drainage system and construction of
waste-water purification facilities in Nasice, southern Baranja and several
towns and municipalities in Vukovar-Srijem County.
Fifty per cent of the loan would be repaid by the government, 25 per
cent by the national water management company and the remaining 25 per cent by
the end users.
