JASENOVAC, March 30 (Hina) - Mass was said in a packed church in Jasenovac on Friday to commemorate victims of the totalitarian regimes of the 20th century, particularly those killed and persecuted during and in the wake of the Second World War and victims of the 1991-1995 war in Croatia.
JASENOVAC, March 30 (Hina) - Mass was said in a packed church in Jasenovac on Friday to commemorate victims of the totalitarian regimes of the 20th century, particularly those killed and persecuted during and in the wake of the Second World War and victims of the 1991-1995 war in Croatia.

The service was concelebrated by the Bishop of Pozega, Antun Skvorcevic, and the Archbishop of the Slovene city of Maribor, Franc Kramberger, because this year is the 65th anniversary of execution of seven Roman Catholic priests from the Maribor diocese in the Jasenovac camp in 1942.

This is an act of piety, love and respect for all innocent victims of the Second World War and the recent Homeland War, Monsignor Skvorcevic said.
