Katsu was visiting Croatia to conclude talks on the fulfilment of four key conditions for the approval of a PAL 2 loan, which the World Bank is expected to grant Croatia in May.
The PAL 2 programme includes structural reforms in the Croatian economy that would create preconditions for faster economic growth.
Katsu said that the World Bank, in cooperation with the European Commission, would continue providing support to Croatia in implementing reforms, particularly in the area of public administration and the judiciary.
Katsu was accompanied by Andras Horvai, who is to become the new Country Manager for Croatia in July, and Anand K. Seth, World Bank Director for Croatia, Bulgaria and Romania.
The World Bank delegation informed Mesic about the ongoing cooperation with Croatia, saying that the PAL 1 programme had been completed successfully.
Mesic was accompanied by Finance Minister Ivan Suker and his associates, Presidential Economic Adviser Dubravko Radosevic, and Presidential European Integration Adviser Anica Djamic.
