The foreign ministers of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, and Montenegro have confirmed their attendance. Moldova will be represented by a state secretary, Bulgaria and Greece by deputy foreign ministers, and Serbia by the acting foreign minister.
The meeting will also be attended by the OSCE secretary-general, the special coordinator of the Southeast Europe Stability Pact, the European Commission's deputy director-general for enlargement, and the UN secretary-general's special envoy for Kosovo.
The meeting will focus on the situation in the region, issues relating to the Stability Pact's exit strategy, and the SEECP as a political forum that will assume a leading role in regional cooperation in Southeast Europe.
Also discussed will be the future participation of Montenegro in the SEECP and the continuation of participation of the European Commission and international donors in new regional cooperation bodies that are to succeed the Stability Pact.
All member countries have expressed their interest in the SEECP becoming a framework for Southeast European countries in Euro-Atlantic integration processes.
The meeting of the foreign ministers will be preceded by a meeting of the SEECP Committee of Political Directors on Thursday.
