ZAGREB, Feb 21 (Hina) - The chairman of the Croatian Parliament's
Committee on Foreign Policy, Gordan Jandrokovic, and the chairman of the
Committee on European Integration, Neven Mimica, received for talks on
Wednesday the rapporteur for Croatia on the European Parliament's Foreign
Affairs Committee, Hannes Swoboda. The Sabor said in a statement
that Swoboda informed the Croatian officials about a draft report on Croatia.
He underlined Croatia's role in the region, its progress in reform processes
and good cooperation with the Hague war crimes tribunal.
He said that changes to the report were yet to be proposed and that the
report would be discussed at a plenary session of the European Parliament in
April.
Croatia's EU accession talks are expected to be completed by 2009,
before elections for the European Parliament, Swoboda recalled.
