ZAGREB, Feb 7 (Hina) - The Croatian Parliament on Thursday afternoon supported three bills aimed at ratifying a memorandum between Croatia and the European Commission on the allocation of pre-accession assistance for environmental
protection, the building of a regional centre for waste management in Sibenik-Knin County and the preparation of a list of projects for the transport sector.
ZAGREB, Feb 7 (Hina) - The Croatian Parliament on Thursday
afternoon supported three bills aimed at ratifying a memorandum between Croatia
and the European Commission on the allocation of pre-accession assistance for
environmental protection, the building of a regional centre for waste
management in Sibenik-Knin County and the preparation of a list of projects for
the transport sector.A state secretary, Martina Dalic, said on
behalf of the government that a total of 1.46 million would be allocated for
environmental protection programmes, stressing that 66 percent would come from
the European Commission and 34 percent from competent ministries.
Deputies also supported a proposal that EUR741,000 from pre-accession
funds be allocated for the feasibility study for the modernisation of the
railway tracks in trans-European corridor and the Zapresic-Savski Marof
railroad.
