According to Serb sources, the peaceful rally was attended by some 3,000 people, while police said that the protest pooled several hundred people.
The protesters urged the international community to reject Ahtisaari's proposal which they said took from Serbia 15 percent of its territory and gave it to Albanians, declaring Kosovo Serbs an ethnic minority in their own country.
Most of the messages heard at the rally were against Kosovo's independence, Kosovo and international institutions, and particularly against the USA.
Serbs last week held a protest rally in northern Mitrovica. New protests have been announced in other Serb-populated areas in Kosovo.
