ZAGREB, Feb 1 (Hina) - The chairman of the State Election Commission whose acronym is DIP will continue to be the Supreme Court President and the Commission is to consist of seven members proposed by clubs of parliamentary parties plus another two members who are to be elected from the ranks of Supreme Court judges.
ZAGREB, Feb 1 (Hina) - The chairman of the State Election Commission whose acronym is DIP will continue to be the Supreme Court President and the Commission is to consist of seven members proposed by clubs of parliamentary parties plus another two members who are to be elected from the ranks of Supreme Court judges.

The government on Thursday sent into parliamentary procedure an amendment to the law regulating the composition of the DIP.

The State Secretary in the Central State Office for Administration, Antun Palaric, said the purpose of the changes was to strengthen the Commission and to enable the transfer of experience from the previous State Election Commissions that used to be composed of judges.
