Foreign minister visits Liechtenstein

ZAGREB, Jan 29 (Hina) - Liechtenstein Foreign Minister Rita Kieber-Beck met Croatian Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic in Vaduz on Monday, confirming her country's support for Croatia's application for nonpermanent membership of the UN Security Council in 2008-09.
ZAGREB, Jan 29 (Hina) - Liechtenstein Foreign Minister Rita Kieber-Beck met Croatian Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic in Vaduz on Monday, confirming her country's support for Croatia's application for nonpermanent membership of the UN Security Council in 2008-09.

During her official visit to Liechtenstein, Grabar-Kitarovic also held talks with Prince Alois and Prime Minister Otmar Hasler, the Croatian foreign ministry said in a statement.

The two foreign ministers confirmed that Croatia-Liechtenstein relations were good and friendly, welcomed the improvement of cooperation, and said cooperation in the economy, culture and tourism should be intensified.

The two foreign ministers also talked about Euro-Atlantic integration and the situation in Southeast Europe. Grabar-Kitarovic highlighted Croatia's current presidency of the South Eastern Europe Cooperation Process.

In her talks with PM Hasler, Grabar-Kitarovic said that Croatia's foreign policy priorities were membership of the European Union and NATO.

Kieber-Beck visited Croatia in May 2006.
