The mass in Zagreb was celebrated by the metropolitan of Zagreb, Ljubljana and Italy, Jovan Pavlovic, together with the priests of the Serb Orthodox Municipality.
A message from Patriarch Pavle to the Orthodox faithful around the world was read out after the mass.
In the message, he pointed to the difficult position of the Orthodox faithful and Serbs in Kosovo. He also called for dialogue, cooperation and unity with all Orthodox Churches, and said one must fight against divisions and conflicts.
A mass was said in Zagreb last night as well. In attendance, among others, were Serb People's Council president Milorad Pupovac, Serbian Ambassador to Croatia Radivoj Cveticanin, and advisors of the president and deputy prime minister.
