The 'A' Index moved up 0.80 points to 77.05 after lingering around the 76.00 mark all week as buyers held off in expectation of a further weakening in prices. Mill buyers began to re-enter the market with better quality cottons attracting the greatest interest. Delays to shipments of Central Asian types have prompted some spinners to seek alternative origins, sources said. 251102 MET nov 96
