Sales continue next week in Sydney and Adelaide with about 72,500 bales to be offered. _________________________________________________________________ Bradford - cijene vune - 27. siječnja 1997. cijene u penijima/kg _________________________________________________________________ MERINO CROSSBRED 70s SUPER 510 58s SUPER 374 66s SUPER 468 58s BLENDED 348 64s SUPER 415 56s SUPER 339 64s BLENDED 408 54s CARDED 324 60s SUPER 390 50s CARDED 318 60s BLENDED 370 58s ENGLISH 271 56s ENGLISH 261 50s ENGLISH 258 Bradford tops market softens on raw wool movements LONDON, Jan 27 (Reuter) - A softer Austalian raw wool market chipped around two pence off the price of finer tops and helped hold the rest of the market in check, sources in the Bradford tops trade said on Monday. One source said that the 13-cent fall in the Australian eastern market indicator at the end of last week was "seen as a further reason for keeping quoted prices competitive." Most tops were quoted unchanged at last week's low levels while 70s Super and 64s Blended lost two pence per kg. But trade sources said the reductions failed to draw buying interest. Retailer resistance to any increase in prices is proving resilient and even sterling's weakness on Friday was unable to move the market, they said. The only bright spot is the call for deliveries which most sellers reported to be fairly consistent, but the lack of new business remains a constant theme. 290956 MET jan 97
