GOAP representatives met with 300 young Croatians who want to start a business and chose the Pametni Upiti company from Rijeka to finance with US$ 200,000 so it can work and develop in the Silicon Valley in the United States for four months.
"We talked about the investment climate in Croatia. Croatia is a very attractive country and has many talented people. GOAP's arrival is a sign of optimism that the future of Croatia's economy can be very good," said Josipovic.
Last year, GOAP financed the Croatian company Farmeron, said Dave McClure, founder of the 500 Startups business incubator, adding that this year too GOAP had met with some of the smartest and most interesting people in Croatia.
"We want to make Zagreb the centre from which Internet and technology companies from the whole region can place their products in Europe and the rest of the world," said Sasa Cvetojevic on behalf of the organiser of the meeting.
