Aristos is located in Buzin, between Zagreb and Velika Gorica, and received the certificate recently after an inspection carried out by the Halal Certification Centre of the Islamic Community in Croatia.
Aristos is the fifth hotel company in Croatia to receive the certificate. The others are Hoteli Baska on the island of Krk which received it first for its three hotels and two villas, Turist Hotel in Varazdin, Art Hotel in Slavonski Brod, and Spacva in Lipovac, which is the first hotel in Croatia with a Halal Park Certificate, which means that it has a section where guests can pray.
The Halal standard designates products or services which are permissible according to Islamic law. It rests on a preventive-proactive method and is compatible with international quality management standards such as ISO or HACCP.
